Hari Raya
Brought an oversea friend to visit Geylang Serai for the Hari Raya last night. We met after my work and reached there about 2200hrs.
As expected many people were there to soak in the festive atmosphere. Not surprisingly, many were Malays, dining, drinking and strolling the various stores.
Well, we were basically there to squeeze and to be squeeze by others. Brought LV to visit Malay Village but seemed that the focus wasn't there as it was quiet inside except for the food stores.
She brought somethings for her children to play which she hasn't tried. Don't know the name for it but it was those sticks that can ignite when lighted up and some do gives out sound. Maybe 'Mini firework' (haha) She also brought some local titbits and foodstuffs for her husband.
Left the place at 0000hrs, just in time for Hari Raya. (yeh)
We then proceeded to have supper before parting.
Wow, that was the first time, i 'celebrated' Hari Raya.
Little India was also lighted up yesterday. If she is in town then, i shall surely bring her to walk Serangoon Road.
