Service (Deaf)

It was through GOD's grace that i actually started joining the church through its Deaf Service. Never have i imagined even in my wildest imagination that i 'gain' entry this unique way.

When i tell my friends i join the church's Deaf Service, they were astonished and amazed i could know sign language but i told them the Pastor who preaches is a hearing and hence i have no problem understanding the sermons.

The atmosphere and surroundings are completely different from hearing service. It doesn't take much to know why.
From the Deaf service in the church, i got to know some wonderful friends and esp their 'culture' (Deaf) I had wanted to learn sign language but with much regret kept forgetting what i have picked up. I felt bad when i can't communicate with the deaf friends and often have to use the handphone to help write the messages. sigh

At the deaf service though i usually sit behind, i never felt left out.
Now in church, i was given the luxury of either attending hokkien service or deaf service. My friends will say, i understand hokkien meh? Though i may attend hokkien service, i do make a point to go upstairs to mingle with my deaf friends and i can say, my friends are there instead.

Blessings

Do you find it hard to believe GOD wants to bless you?

GOD's blessing is complete. HE wants to bless you spiritually, physically, financially, .......and in every area of your life. GOD will answer any prayer for blessing asked in faith. But the fullness of HIS blessing is enjoyed "if you fully obey the LORD your GOD and carefully follow all HIS commands ............(Deu 28:1)

"The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of HIS bounty, send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands." (Deu 28:12)

"The LORD will make you the head, not the tail." (Deu 28:13)

I believe all of us wants GOD to bless us with whatever things we have in mind or yearn. Does GOD answer us??
What if HE doesn't? Well, let's think of it as the time is not ripe for HIS blessings to shower on us. Told a friend that GOD has not answered my prayers or request and particularly one of it for many many years but shall continue to keep faith and have trust in HIM with HIS grace and mercy. Still praying and leave the rest of it to HIM.

Yes, i am sadden and disappointed when things don't turn out as expected, as the saying goes, "so near and yet so far". GOD's will or work? I shall still continue to ask .............if there's life, there's hope.

Email

Pleasantly surprised to receive an email from a friend.
Seemed to have drifted and lost contact with him ........(no slightest idea why he distances himself from me ??)
Human relationships are that intricate, vulnerable, 'soft', fragile ............It may takes a long long time to develop a relationship and understanding with one another but a mere minute to lose it which can be due to some miscommunication, misunderstanding, mistake ...........
Often i have tried to seek an answer but to no avail and has since given up and let GOD 'decide'
It takes two to tango right?

Yes, friends come and go in our lives but true friends are hard to come by. Maybe once in a life time.
More often than not, things often got difficult when you don't have control of it. JESUS door is always open for all of us so long we are willing to enter but are families and friends the same??

Keep praying ..........and ask for direction in HIS grace and mercy.
Thank GOD, now i know a little of Jack's well being .................

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PRINCESS

I am back after about 2 months of 'rest'. Was disappointed and sadden with an incident, hence lost the mood and interest to pen.

Had an enjoyable and wonderful sunday last week. Never had a good weekend for a long time.
The reason? Celebrated my little princess 10th Birthday.
How time flies, she is already 10 this year. How she has changed and grown since seeing her for the very first time ( a few hours after she arrives in this world)
In no time, she will be taller than me. Her mum's genes, perhaps.

Oh, she has already started wearing spectacles. Beside 2 other gifts, this was the very first year i have given her a red packet as present. And no assignment books for the first time too (hee hee) Maybe Christmas lah ...........She dislikes me giving her assignment books to do.

Always envy my friend (princess's dad), proud father of 3 children and his dad (2 children and grandfather of 6 grandchildren)
Princess is as usual active and sportive. The latest was she is into Bowling. (wow)
After dinner @ a restaurant in Bukit Merah, we proceeded to SAFRA (Mount Faber) for bowling but the centre was closed for Singapore Open. So as not to disappoint her, we went to Marina Superbowl.

The 'joke' for the night was i should clap when the ball rolled into the drain till she couldn't 'take' it. (Haha) Her 2 younger brothers and mum also joined in the game while her dad and i watched @ the touchline. At times, there were 2 balls 'stucked' in the drain caused her 2 years old brother has no strength to roll the ball. There were onlookers looking at us ........

Might be a short 3 hours of quality time spent with my little princess and her family, it was still a joy and delight been together with them.
May GOD bless my little princess with many many more good years.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY HUI YI
